Before you do anything else today...
Hiii, happy Sunday!
Before you check your email.
Before you fold the laundry.
Before you start planning the week.
Before someone needs something from you...
Pause.
Take one slow breath.
And another.
Now ask yourself...
What am I noticing?
Not your to-do list.
Not what you think you should be accomplishing.
Not the next thing that needs your attention.
Just...
What are you noticing?

This week, I've been noticing something interesting in myself.
Physically, I'm tired. (My sweet cat, Clarity, has decided breakfast should happen well before my alarm every morning. 🐈⬛)
Mentally, there's a little brain fog from not getting enough sleep.
And yet...
Emotionally, I feel balanced.
Resilient.
There's even a surprising sense of clarity flowing beneath it all. (Is that ironic 🐈⬛?)
For a long time, I would've lumped all of those experiences together and simply said, "I'm exhausted."
Now I've learned to get a little more curious.
- Is my body asking for rest?
- Is my mind asking for quiet?
- Is my heart asking to be heard?
The answer isn't always the same.
This month, we're exploring Emotional Equilibrium inside Earth Medicine Yoga, and I don't believe that means feeling calm all the time.
I think it means becoming aware enough to notice what's actually happening within us.
Sometimes we're physically depleted but emotionally steady. Sometimes our mind feels foggy while our inner knowing is crystal clear. Sometimes what we're feeling isn't even ours to carry.
Awareness is where everything begins.
This Week's Reflection
I've also been sitting with the question of integrity.
Not in the sense of doing everything perfectly. But in the quieter sense of asking:
What does it mean to truly honor my values?
One answer keeps returning.
If something isn't a "Fuck yes!" it deserves an honest "No."
Every time I ignore that knowing, I drift a little further away from myself. Every time I honor it, I come home.
This Week's Practice
Find a comfortable seat.
Close your eyes.
Place one hand over your heart.
Take three slow breaths.
Then ask yourself:
What am I noticing?
If what you notice feels frenetic—anxiety, overwhelm, frustration—don't force yourself to sit with it.
- Go for a walk.
- Roll out your yoga mat.
- Shake it out.
- Breathe.
Sometimes movement is what allows the heart to speak.
This week, I'm also returning to a practice I haven't visited in a while:
Journaling.
Not to find the "right" answer. Simply to make space for whatever is ready to be heard.
This Week's Ritual
At the beginning of every month, I cleanse my doorways and windows, burn cinnamon, and call in prosperity and abundance.
Not just financially.
But an abundance of peace. Meaningful connection. Enoughness.
You don't need an elaborate ritual.
- Maybe your ritual is opening a window.
- Stepping outside barefoot.
- Making your favorite cup of tea.
- Lighting a candle before the day begins.
What matters isn't the ritual itself.
It's the pause.
May you move through this week...
...with curiosity instead of urgency.
With gentleness instead of pressure.
With the courage to honor what is true for you.
With love and gratitude,
Megan
