✨ Slow Down to Remember What’s Sacred
Hi seeker,
This morning, I woke up to the quiet hum of Sunday—the kind of day that almost asks you to exhale a little longer, to soften into the edges of time. Sundays have always felt like thresholds to me. One foot still lingering in the week that was, the other already stepping into the one ahead.
But instead of rushing into “what’s next,” I’ve learned to pause here. To claim this day as sacred.
Sundays have always carried a thread of the sacred for me. Growing up, they were for church—a time to honor the divine, to pause from the busyness of the world. That imprint stayed, even as my path evolved.
Now, my “church” is Earth Medicine Yoga. It’s more than a class; it’s a ceremony, a way of tending body, mind, and spirit. And it always begins with a ritual—like the one I’m sharing with you here in our Sacred Sunday Slowdown.
Here’s your invitation:
-
Light a candle – let it be the spark that calls you back into presence.
-
Breathe deep – three intentional breaths, filling your belly, your ribs, your chest. Exhale slowly, like you’re teaching your nervous system how to let go.
-
Place a hand on your heart – whisper to yourself: I am allowed to move at the pace of my soul.
-
Journal a reflection – What did this past week teach me? What seed do I want to plant for the next?
It doesn’t need to be long or perfect. Just a few minutes to shift from doing into being.

When we create space for rituals like this, we remember that productivity isn’t what makes us whole—presence is.
So today, I invite you to give yourself this gift: slow down, breathe, and enter the week with a little more softness.
With love + gratitude,
Megan
